Cornelius Karlens Dekop Appointed as Governor of the Bank of Botswana

In accordance with the powers vested in him by Section 112 of the Constitution of the Republic of Botswana, His Excellency Dr. Mokweetsi E.K. Masisi, the President of the Republic of Botswana, has appointed Mr. Cornelius Karlens Dekop as the Governor of the Bank of Botswana, effective from October 23, 2023. Mr. Dekop, a distinguished professional with a Master of Arts degree in Development Economics from William College, United States, brings with him over 28 years of experience in the Botswana civil service and the African Development Bank. His career has been marked by expertise in the management of public finances and budgetary matters. Legae Academy last week recognised and awarded top achievers of their school with trophies and praises at their annual price giving ceremony. Second largest Choppies store lands in Francistown

Botswana's second city, Francistown welcomed the second largest Choppies store in Botswana last Friday. The super store is said to contain 40% more refigeration space and that in terms of size it is the 2nd largest after Choppies Hyper along the Western-by-Pass in Gaborone. Slizer and her gyrating dancers once again dazzled the masses that had come to take advantage of the low prices now popular with the opening of a new Choppies shop.
