High Court Decision Disrupts Election Prep: IEC Delays Registration

Following a High Court ruling granting the Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) the right to monitor voter registration, the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) has postponed the registration period, initially set from November 1 to November 30, 2023, to run from November 13 to December 8, 2023. UDC observers will have to wait until the court's final decision on November 7 to engage. Second largest Choppies store lands in Francistown

Botswana's second city, Francistown welcomed the second largest Choppies store in Botswana last Friday. The super store is said to contain 40% more refigeration space and that in terms of size it is the 2nd largest after Choppies Hyper along the Western-by-Pass in Gaborone. Slizer and her gyrating dancers once again dazzled the masses that had come to take advantage of the low prices now popular with the opening of a new Choppies shop.
